IDEX Engineer II in West Jordan, Utah

As an Engineer II at Trebor International, you will serve as both a product designer and manufacturing engineer for high-purity pump technologies. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who can take full ownership while also driving improvements in pump designs to support world-class production performance.

In this role you will own the complete engineering lifecycle of our pump technologies - from the first sketch of a concept through detailed design, process development, and sustained production support. Success in this role hinges not only on technical expertise but on a strong sense of ownership and drive. You’ll be expected to lead and participate in improvements to manufacturing workflows, elevate equipment reliability, and deliver designs that perform flawlessly in the demanding environments of the semiconductor and high-tech industries. The ideal person brings focus, initiative, and follow-through; able to tackle tough goals while working closely with cross functional teams.

Work Location: Onsite role in West Jordan, Utah

Compensation: Starting at $85,000 to $90,000 annually, plus bonus

Responsibilities

  • Own the design and performance of assigned pump technologies, including surge suppressors and support assemblies.

  • Design, model, and release components, subassemblies, and full products using internal development procedures.

  • Improve manufacturing processes and tooling for safety, quality, yield, and throughput using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Lead process validations, including development of test protocols, execution, and documentation.

  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability and quality of all engineered designs.

  • Support production teams through troubleshooting, hands-on support, and clear documentation of procedures and processes.

  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance standards for critical manufacturing equipment tied to pump production.

  • Continuously seek and implement improvements to tools, fixtures, processes, and workflows to enhance operator ease-of-use and reduce variation.

  • Participate in internal design reviews, prototype builds, and launch to manufacturing for new designs or improvements.

  • Present technical information clearly and concisely to cross-functional stakeholders and customers.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred; other technical degrees or equivalent industry experience will be considered based on relevance to the role.

  • 2–5 years of hands-on engineering experience in a product design, manufacturing, or sustaining support role.

  • Demonstratable proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred).

  • Familiarity with pump systems or strong interest in fluid systems, plastic manufacturing, and high-purity applications.

  • Working knowledge of production processes, and equipment maintenance principles.

  • Strongly preferred: Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement and problem solving.

  • Experience leading or participating in root cause investigations, CAPA, or cross-functional engineering projects.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical content and interact with internal teams, external partners, and customers.

  • Self-driven and adaptable, with strong project ownership and cross-functional teamwork skills.

  • Experience with PLCs, pneumatics, or electronics is a plus but not required.

Physical Activities

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally, movement within an office complex and outside in the field

Travel

  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, including overnight stays, with the ability to adapt to different cultural and business environments.
