Summary

The Senior Marketing Manager serves the Director of Marketing as a leader of marketing activities among IDEX Fire & Safety’s North American brands. Based on targeted growth initiatives that align with the business goals, the Senior Marketing Manager leads the development of new ideas, the execution of tactical marketing plans , regular oversight of key vendors, the creation of creative/project briefs, preparation of reports and presentations, receipt and distribution of internal requests, oversight over the calendar of activity, and the overall supervision of projects in Asana. Their primary objective is to ensure that the strategy passed to them is translated to the daily activity of the MarCom team and kept on track, on time, within scope, and within budget. Essentially, the Senior Marketing Manager is the primary internal champion of the administration, execution and reporting of marketing and communication activity.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the broader IDEX Fire & Safety marketing and content strategy is properly implemented in all marketing activities; Responsible for the preparation and execution of marketing initiatives and related budget items.

  • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as Sales, Sales Enablement, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to develop creative/project briefs, action plans, and individual team member responsibilities.

  • Plans and supervises the creation of marketing campaigns and materials in support of targeted initiatives by collaborating with key Business Unit resources, IDEX Fire & Safety resources, or outside service companies.

  • Assists project management with the creation of the overall marketing activity calendar as well as specific calendar items for each brand.

  • As needed, provides writing and/or editing support for outbound communications, including promotional materials, website content, announcements, etc. through the composition of clear, concise and grammatically correct copy. Drives the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication.

  • Helps with defining the most important marketing key performance indicators (in collaboration with the Director of Marketing).

  • Keeps current with the latest digital marketing best practices, technologies, and trends.

  • Contributes material to and helps manage outside resources:

  • Graphic designers, photographers, video production, etc.

  • Helps ensure content is informative and appealing.

  • Collaborates with other marketing team members, sales, and product development teams (as needed).

  • Travel required up to 10% of the time.

  • Other roles and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications or other related field of study and 5 years of related experience is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a B2B environment.

  • Must demonstrate a keen interest and competency in marketing and technology, particularly online technology, and relevant software.

  • Proficiency with B2B and B2C marketing campaigns

  • Proficiency with web-based project management software

  • Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Teams, etc., is a plus.

  • Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both in written and verbal form, particularly with an emphasis on new creative ideas; determining and communicating the scope of projects; reporting; and creating succinct presentations.

  • Working within a tech-related field, particularly new product technology is a plus.

  • Highly knowledgeable regarding digital marketing best practices.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills are vitally necessary.

  • Experience working in manufactured product-related fields is a plus.

The estimated compensation for this position is $90,000-$100,000, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
