Accounting Specialist

KZValve, LLC – Greenwood, NE

Summary:

This position is responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable, fixed asset accounting, and export compliance. The Accounting Specialist should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.

Responsibilities:

• Match vendor packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices, ensuring accuracy in receipt of goods and vendor invoice

• Enter vendor invoices in local ERP software

• Research and communicate any discrepancies with purchasing team, receiving team, or vendor’s receivables team

• Maintain proper Form W-9 files, and prepare Forms 1099’s accordingly

• Prepare, obtain proper approvals, and process weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wires)

• Oversee expense reporting system setup and processes (SAP Concur)

• Maintain fixed assets using BNA Software

• Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting

• Coordinate and execute all export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipper’s letter of instructions, and bills of lading

• Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to facilitate international shipments

• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or issues

• Maintain export records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements

• Assist with various other general accounting activities and projects as needed

Requirements:

• 2-3+ years’ accounts payable experience

• Solid foundation of computer skills including Microsoft Office and accounting products

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to process and maintain sensitive information

Preferred:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, International Trade, or related field

• Strong internal and external communication skills

• Positive attitude and ability to learn new tasks

Position Details:

• Full-Time, Monday through Friday, non-exempt position

• Position reports to the Finance Manager
