Overall Purpose
Performs fieldwork with all ADS product lines including, but not limited to the operation and maintenance of ADS flow monitoring equipment. Responsible for operating and maintaining all ADS issued field equipment and vehicles associated with the above product lines. Responsible for compliance with ADS Policies, Procedures and safe work instructions.
This role is on-site in our Vancouver, BC Office. The shift is 7:00pm- 5:00am, 4 days a week.
Job Responsibilities
Direct supervision of multiple field crews.
Perform worksite observations to determine field crew proficiency and productivity.
Perform safety audits.
Performs as a field crew leader for daily field operations.
Provide on-the-job training and mentoring of Environmental Field Technicians
Act as topside confined space attendant and effect rescue if necessary.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights using fall protection equipment, including harness and safety devices, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols
Field work includes but is not limited to:
Installation of flow and level monitors within sewer lines
Installation of rainfall monitoring equipment
Flow monitor calibration
Collection of sewer flow, level, and rainfall data and review for accuracy
Operation and maintenance of flow and level monitors and rainfall gauges.
Driving to and from worksites in standard and non-standard driving conditions.
Analyze and develop solutions for challenging applications.
Demonstrate firm understanding of hydraulics and quality data and provide training to all levels of Environmental Field Technicians to ensure quality data collection.
Maintain accurate, legible, and organized records in accordance with all ADS quality work instructions.
Maintain vehicle and equipment to ensure safety, mechanical soundness, and productive operation.
Travel and work overtime hours as required.
Complete all required internal and external training requirements and certifications.
Responsible for internal day to day coordination of assigned crews and client facing scheduling and coordination
Other Requirements:
Employee should have completed ADS safety certification to Level 3 at a minimum and obtain an expert understanding of all field operations. This employee will function as an independent field crew leader and may travel and work on remote projects for extended periods. Training in flow monitor site investigations must be completed. Additional training may be required as other needs arise. Additionally, this position may be responsible for the direct supervision of multiple field crews. OSHA 10-Hour training must be completed. Additional training may be required as other needs arise. Safety Training Coordinator and Safety Management certification must also be completed.
Adhere to all safety work procedures and ADS policies, procedures, and safety work instructions.
Perform permit required Confined Space Entry
Setup standard traffic control work zones in high density traffic conditions.
Maintain valid driver’s license and driving record.
Other duties as required.
Prerequisites:
High school education or GED equivalent and valid driver’s license, Qualified candidate must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
Respiratory fit testing and ability to wear a respirator for extended periods.
Full safety certification, OSHA 10-Hour, and safety management certification
Certification in the ADS Core Flow Monitoring modules.
Exhibits a mastery of all skills needed to fulfill the job requirements of all Environmental Field Technician roles.
Satisfactory demonstration of field and safety training.
Satisfactory demonstration of leading field crews
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Manual dexterity with good mechanical skills
Self-motivated with good problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills (Windows-based operating platform and Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word at a minimum)
Willingness to work outdoors in most weather conditions.
Physical and cognitive ability necessary to do confined space entry and perform rescue operations when necessary.
Basic knowledge of electronics helpful for advanced applications
Must be able to function in a team environment and be capable of achieving daily productivity targets.
Must be willing to travel and work in the physical conditions present in a sewer.
Must be willing to foster a healthy safety culture.
Bend, twist, pull, lift, and carry loads of up to 60 pounds.

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 - $92,900.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
