Primary Function:

This position will lead business development of our Supply Chain. The ideal candidate uses data gathering and analyzing skills along with sound judgement to make key, business-impacting decisions while also providing recommendations for functional enhancements through the continuous improvement process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute procurement of raw materials from domestic and international suppliers with a focus on key suppliers

• Maintain strong working relationships and communications with manufacturing and key suppliers to confirm production/shipping schedules and monitor open purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveries with full quantity

• Interface with production, sales, purchasing and suppliers in order to schedule purchase orders to meet distribution and service demand

• Proactively report product and material availability issues

• Coordinate inventory planning and replenishment of raw materials and components in conjunction with our program management teams

• Develops component demand forecasts through use of JDE forecasting tool.

• Analyze and manage MRP, Source list

• Revise and manage Banjo Purchasing PFEP (Plan for Every Part) to ensure the JDE system is effectively planning future requirements

• Inventory Management: Support reporting, inventory parameters and reduction of obsolescence exposure

• Supplier Management: RFQ, Cost saving initiatives, Negotiations, Supplier relationship/evaluation, Supplier Scorecards

• Project management: Project Manage new product launch with all material suppliers

• Provide support to Customer Service, Sales team, Product Management and Safety with business and product strategy

• Participate and contribute to monthly SIRI (significant inventory reduction items) program management & metrics, S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process

• Manage all Consignment/VMI programs execution

• Complete special projects and assignments as requested

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-3 years of Buying and procurement experience.

• Proficiency in relevant computer applications, Microsoft Office, JD Edwards, Oracle/Demantra preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain, or equivalent experience, preferred.

• HS Diploma required.

• CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) Preferred and/or APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) preferred
