The Lead Maintenance Mechanic is responsible to perform highly diversified maintenance duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Manage a Maintenance Technician across a two shift production operation. Partners with the Value Stream Manager and the Production Team Leads to ensure optimum machine operations and minimize expenses and maximize customer service.
Troubleshoot production CNC’s vertical milling, screw machines and lathes. Work from diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturing specifications to determine maintenance requirements.
Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules, keep electronic records and or completed work order documentation.
Create Maintenance Purchase orders and analyze problems to find economical method of repair.
Disassemble machinery, make proper repairs and reassemble to test and prevent failures.
Lead a Maintenance Technician to perform facility cleaning, maintenance repairs and PMs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance of facility and production equipment.
Repairs a wide variety of machinery and assists in the installation of new equipment and capital projects.
Arranges for outside contractors to assist with breakdowns and special projects. Oversees contractors while on company property.
Works with Machinists and Assembly teams to diagnoses and trouble shoot mechanical problems.
Performs production and plant maintenance as needed – CNC machines, smog hogs, compressors, clean room equipment, ultrasonic washers, vacuum and convection ovens, grit blasting, test stands and PLC driven and robotic equipment.
Works with EHS coordinator to maintain a safe work environment.
Performs plumbing, electrical and carpentry work as needed.
Certified in the use of the Fork Lift and Platform Lift.
JOB REQUIREMENTS include:
Five or more years of experience with the maintenance of production CNCs
Must be able to monitor, diagnose and maintain critical facility systems.
Working knowledge of facility systems, HVAC, air compressors, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps and motors.
Ability to analyze, repair and set up new systems.
Strong collaboration, communication, training and coaching skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :
Four to ten years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $58,200.00 - $87,200.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
