SUMMARY OF PRIMARY FUNCTION

This position is serves as the Head of Service and Operations at Fluid Management, a business unit of IDEX Corporation. The role sets the strategic direction for operational excellence and customer experience across the US, Canada and LATAM markets. Overseeing $12M in annual service revenues tied to billables, parts, installations, contract and warranties, they will sustainable growth and profitability within the Service P&L. Operations will require ongoing productivity savings while maintaining best-in-class “on time delivery” for customers. This leader will collaborate across all functions to enable long -term strategic priorities including the digitalization of new products and features. Additionally, this role oversees the entire Wheeling facility and will be the executive champion for Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S). This leader will embrace the IDEX operating model and core values (Trust, Teams and Excellence).

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct management of Operations: Operations, Materials & Manufacturing Engineering, Customer Service, Technical Support, and Field Service. Accountable for overall Order to Cash process for the company.

Leads a team of 60+ members with 5 direct reports.

Responsible for a manufacturing plant in Wheeling, IL.

Responsible for delivering Service Operation Performance metrics and Operations performance metrics (quality, on time delivery, sourcing, production output, productivity savings).

Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of forecast management, inventory management, sourcing, production planning, and SIOP process.

Champion strategic continuous improvement initiatives that drive the service and operations teams.

Serve as an executive champion for large commercial projects for key customers where regular planning, communication and collaborative problem solving is required with them.

Position will own Environmental, Health and Safety and standard process requirements internally.

Based out of Wheeling, IL.

Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Education/Experience

Bachelor degree in business, industrial engineering or related field, MBA preferred

10+ years of progressive experience in service and/or operations

7+ years of experience in manufacturing

Proven track record of driving operational excellence in operations/service environment

Proven track record of Process design and process improvement initiatives.

Working understanding of Lean & Kaizen Methodologies.

Prior responsibility for OSHA and EPA implementation.

Thorough knowledge of customer service, field service, manufacturing engineering, materials planning, inventory management, and production processes.
