IDEX Warehouse Operations Associate in West Jordan, Utah

The Warehouse Operations Associate will receive incoming parts/materials, and perform shipping functions. They will also provide support for various assigned activities in the Quality department and in support of other departments as appropriate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Physically receive & count incoming parts/materials; verify against packing slip, purchase order, and other records
Transfer parts into inventory via computer ERP system and physically to inspection or stock location
Operate forklift to load, unload and transport materials following accepted operating and safe practice procedure after certification
Participate in daily inventory cycle counts
Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Work in a team environment to propose and implement process and resource improvements related to team activities
Shipping back-up
Product packaging for shipment; including inventory control of shipping materials
Willingness to learn domestic and international shipping functions, including export clearance
Work with carriers and freight forwarders to coordinate transportation
Process shipments in carrier software and ERP system; completion of related documentation (including export documents; EEI/AES filing for export reporting)
Perform other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally, movement within an office complex and outside in the field
Write by hand and keyboard
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills required
Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use

QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of shipping & receiving experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and work within a team environment
Strong work ethics
