REPORTING TO: Facilities/Environmental Health & Safety Manager

LOCATION: West Henrietta, NY

ITAR/EAR CRITERIA:

SCOPE OF ROLE:

The manufacturing equipment technician will be a key technical resource for the operations team focused on ensuring the maintenance and quality of the mechanical equipment used in our and supporting or filters Coating & Finishing operations. The technician will work with the equipment vendors, manufacturing engineers, finishing value stream manager, Coating value stream manager and facility team to achieve the uptime goals of the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

PROCESS DEVELOPMENT :

This technician will be a preventative maintenance program for all equipment and tooling used in our Finishing and Coating operations. Communicate and schedule vendor maintenance of our equipment and monitor critical spare inventory. Key success factors will be reducing our unplanned downtime.

FILTERS PRODUCTION SUPPORT:

This technician will be a daily resource to assist the production team with trouble shooting equipment issues surrounding filter shaping, cleaning, beveling, laser engraving, and assembly processes. Key success factors will be effective communication, minimizing unplanned equipment downtime and maintaining internal production yields as related to equipment performance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing capacity

  • Experience maintaining equipment and tooling

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization

  • Experience developing new processes

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, accurately and quickly identifying the root cause

  • Capability to plan maintenance initiatives

  • Organized, motivated, and able to prioritize multiple tasks without direct supervision

  • Have a passion to succeed in all aspects of the position, be of the highest integrity; customer focused and is committed to the paradigm of continuous improvement

  • This position is a site-based role.
