SCOPE OF ROLE:

The Finishing Operations group works over several shifts utilizing highly effective teams. Leading each of those teams is a Finishing Team Leader. The Finishing Associate is responsible for helping the team to be successful on a daily basis in the Finishing department by executing assigned tasks, placing holds on work that does not meet standard, and escalating issues that may delay production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The Finishing team is currently looking for a Finishing Associate for its optical filter manufacturing operations. The right person will become an integral member of the FINISHING production team. Key success criteria for this position are customer satisfaction as measured by product quality, on-time delivery, and high productivity. Specific job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Glass processing – Including but not limited to - Core Drilling, Dicing, Laser Marking, Unwaxing, Beveling – Hand, Semi Auto and or Auto, Cleaning and all supporting processes related to Glass Shaping.

• Physical and Visual measurements utilizing various equipment

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Basic computer skills

• Capable of working in an ITAR registered facility

• Must be able to work any shift and overtime as production schedules require

DESIRE TRAITS:

• Direct experience with the handling, processing, and cleaning of optical-quality glass substrates and coatings

• Experience working with a subjective quality system, especially with optical products is a plus.

• Experience in a machine shop or with operating dicing equipment is an excellent, desirable additional skill

• Good written and oral communication skills, ability to read and comprehend work instructions.

• Proficient mathematics skills – add, subtract, multiply and divide

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $15.63 -$21.47/hr, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.

The compensation range for this position is $32,500.00 - $48,700.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
