SUMMARY
This rewarding role will work closely with business leaders to provide impactful financial information and drive business performance. This role supports the IDEX Material Processing Technologies family of businesses which deliver the optimized technology to our customers to achieve consistent, repeatable results in critical and precision liquid and powder handling applications.
The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Director of Finance, partnering on strategic business initiatives and providing insight into key operational performance and commercial metrics. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Lead analysis to understand product and system manufacturing profitability by understanding and communicating projects costs as related to material, labor and overhead
Utilize project cost analyses to assist in preparation of commercial quotes
Help preparation monthly forecast and QBR (Quarterly Business Review) for functional areas of the business and related subsidiaries
Participates in the annual strategic planning and budgeting processes including establishing assumptions, spreadsheet modeling, consolidation, analysis, and presentation preparation
Prepares ad-hoc financial analysis to support senior management decisions
Monitors orders, sales, profit, and cash against the targets on a weekly basis
Responsible for Working Capital and department spending analysis
Extracts financial data from various finance and information systems including OneStream and Visual
Advise the Director of Finance immediately of all errors, irregularities or significant adjustments or journal entries (as they occur)
Lead costing analysis of new products / major product revisions
Perform initial ROI analysis on major capital expenditures and coach non-finance managers on investment decisions
Lead commercial finance analyses, supporting Business Line Leads and Commercial Teams with detailed and timely analysis of customer/market performance
Accounting activities to include assisting with month end close, with a focus on inventory, costing, P&L and Mix Analysis
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must Have:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
4 years related finance experience in a manufacturing setting
Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SOX
Experience with large sets of data – analyzing, interpreting and presenting to non-Finance personnel
Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact clearly and confidently with all levels in the organization
High level of integrity and ethical standards
Advanced Excel skills
Nice to Have:
CPA or master’s degree
Visual ERP experience
Experience with Lean or Six Sigma
8020 Operating Model experience
Project or Job Shop Manufacturing experience
