IDEX Customer Service Representative in Waterloo, Ontario

Position Summary:

As part of the Inside Sales team, you will be primarily responsible for the management of customer orders and to ensure positive customer experiences. The Customer Service Representative is an integral part of the inside sales team and actively helps us achieve our goal of “Customer Obsession”.

Essential Duties:

  • Enter orders into our ERP system (Visual Manufacturing)

  • Coordinate the order process for product sales which includes reviewing quotations, purchase orders, and order forms to ensure accuracy.

  • Enable delivery of orders by assisting with credit applications, payment, letters of credit, pro-forma invoices, approval drawings, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) dates, etc.

  • Provide support to customers by fielding inquiries during the production process including: anticipated lead time and/or dispatch dates, order changes, coordinating technical queries, etc.

  • Track all open orders and identify gaps on a daily basis and communicate cross functionally.

  • Work in an organized fashion to stay abreast of all customer order requirements.

  • Communicate and help execute suggestions for improvements to products and internal processes.

  • Crosstrain on all Inside Sales functions to allow coverage of absences within the team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

EDUCATION:

  • Relevant postsecondary education (College/University) or equivalent related business / administrative experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 to 5 years of related experience providing customer service/order entry support within a technical sales / manufacturing environment.

  • Company specific training will be provided.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Demonstrated strong customer service orientation

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy while performing data entry

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products
