SUMMARY :

This position has primary responsibility for the company's sales efforts within the assigned territory, defense and semiconductor market segments or client list. This position is responsible for managing and conducting required selling and customer support processes, including the identification and qualification of prospective customers and the development, management and carrying out of relevant, responsive, and successful selling strategies. This position requires fifty percent time on travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Primary focal point for all aspects of interface and relationship with targeted and existing Strategic Market customers and prospects globally including but not limited to:

  • Developed appropriate strategies to drive brand sales across a focused set of markets/products within their assigned geography.

  • Conduct regular, extensive contact and follow up with existing and new strategic customers, regarding all aspects of the overall business relationship.

  • Report progress against forecasts, budgets, targets, and action plans utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other tools required.

  • Work with Director of Sales to grow revenue with targeted customers, implement action plans, and report on progress.

  • Prepare and present presentations about CVI shutters capabilities and solutions to customers and prospective customers.

  • Coordinate and contribute to the development of Strategic and Annual business plans with a focus on the strategic markets and other key segments.

  • Function as the voice of the customer in the definition of innovative solutions.

  • Join and participate in national/global trade associations to get a better understanding of each market trend and drive growth of CVI shutter brand awareness

  • Assist in developing and implementing product specific growth strategies and initiatives within their brand, and which is aligned with our Strategic Plan.

  • Identifies high probability customer prospects within area of responsibility.

  • Develops and maintains successful and professional relationship with customer prospects. Ensures that all customer needs are satisfied and that the company maintains a reputation for customer satisfaction.

  • Qualifies and disqualifies opportunities as appropriate.

  • Develops accurate information concerning prospect and customer needs, and effectively communicates the information to company decision makers and team members.

  • Provides order forecasts.

  • Participates in developing sales proposals and presents proposals as appropriate.

  • Negotiates terms and conditions of sales.

  • Achieves or exceeds order and sales targets.

  • Notifies customers of impending product deliveries and negotiates delivery schedules.

  • Responds to prospects, customers, and coworkers in a timely and professional manner.

  • Actively participates in all customer support programs including concurrent engineering and development projects.

  • This job position requires compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations/Export Administration Regulations (ITAR/EAR) Regulations. Therefore, all employees working in this capacity must meet citizenship status. Per the CVI Laser, LLC Export Controls Policy and Procedure, the employee must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.

  • Complies with health and safety policies and procedures submits accurate expense reports on a timely basis.

  • Supports company values including ethical conduct and high integrity in all actions.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicates company and product values to prospective customers via formal and informal presentations, meetings, and communications.

  • Research, documents, and reports industry trends, purchasing history and buying trends related to assigned accounts.

  • Represents the company at trade shows, technical meetings, exhibitions, and workshops. Develops and presents technical papers at these events, as required.

  • Maintains accurate and timely activity and customer reports.

  • Participates in sales meetings, selling events, special multi-business unit sales team programs and assigned training programs.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

EDUCATION/TRAINING/WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, and minimum of seven years of successful experience in sales or product management of relevant products. A graduate degree in science, marketing or business is highly desirable. A proven successful track record in original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the public

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • A thorough understanding of P&L financial reporting and internal functional responsibilities required.

  • Additionally, the individual must have the ability to collaborate with internal company stakeholders in other functional areas.

  • Intermediate to advanced personal computer skills.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills across many facets of the business.

  • Strong management skills, internal team building, and proven examples of being or developing Internal Champions for the sales organization to articulate and affect CVI output to achieve sales business objectives.

  • Well organized - ability to address strategic vision for the long-term while driving tactical issues in the short-term.

  • Must possess high-energy, and a driven-to-succeed attitude within the organization.

  • Must be able to prepare and professionally articulate presentations, legal contracts, and joint strategic planning documents with senior level executives.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $106,800.00 - $160,200.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
