IDEX Manager, Internal Audit in United States

The internal audit manager role is considered to be a key source of talent for the broader IDEX Finance organization. This role allows for excellent exposure and growth and will assume a leadership position within the department in order to oversee the completion of a variety of financial, compliance, and operational audits at both the business unit and corporate levels. Although the IDEX Corporate Offices are located in Northbrook, IL and Chicago, IL, this position is remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a variety of financial, operational, IT and compliance audits from planning through completion.

  • Provide day-to-day coaching/development and formally assess the performance of multiple direct reports (lead and/or senior/staff internal auditors).

  • Assist the Director of Internal Audit in carrying out the strategy and long-term vision of the department.

  • Participate in planning meetings with internal management and the external audit firm to identify areas of concern and emerging trends and determine the scope of reviews/audits.

  • Understand risks and controls present within the organization and design and develop controls/processes to mitigate those risks and/or remediate gaps identified.

  • Assist the Director of Internal Audit in carrying out quarterly reporting responsibilities to the audit committee and senior management.

  • Evaluate the reliability and integrity of information and the efficient and effective use of resources at the corporate office and business unit sites.

  • Constantly challenge the status quo and look for ways to improve operational efficiency.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Attend training, seminars and workshops as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • 5 years of progressive public accounting/audit experience; manufacturing industry experience is critical

  • CPA, CIA, and/or CISA certified

  • Knowledge of current US GAAP and GAAS

  • Strong analytical and project management skills

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills

  • Must be a strong leader and comfortable with coaching/developing and assessing the performance of others

  • Must be detail-oriented in order to thrive in hands-on environment

  • Must be a self-starter, result oriented, and have a willingness to learn

  • Available to travel 35% of the time, both domestically and internationally

  • Intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)

  • Experience with JDE is a plus

  • Foreign language skills are a plus (i.e., German, Italian, Chinese)

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $106,800.00 - $160,200.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
