Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer

SUMMARY OF PRIMARY FUNCTION
The CI Engineer is responsible for continuous improvement initiatives by deploying a variety of lean tools, processes and concepts that improve business performance. This role also facilitates associate involvement at all levels in continuous improvement activities. The CI Engineer will work with other business leaders to drive transactional and manufacturing improvements.
The role will oversee all lean activities to ensure coordinated progress toward the completion of Goal Deployment objectives. This individual will direct, coordinate and actively participate in the Lean project ideation funnel, the evaluation and ranking of projects, the project initiation and execution, and regular project tracking, updates, and visual posting.
This role will also serve as the liaison to manufacturing for all ECR (Engineering change request) and serve as the engineering representative in the APQP process. Creating basic tooling designs and drawings. Funneling all change requests through the MCCB (Management Change Control Board) for review.
Facilitate Cadence Process aligning leadership team on transformation roadmap
Promote and facilitate the diagnosis of flow of work and information (Value Stream Mapping) to identify improvement priorities
Helps to promote a positive work culture aligned with the IDEX Values and drives to improve employee engagement
Continue to evolve the OPEX process within the business with key leaders and ensure the use of the lean/CI tools in daily management
Deploy lean tools and growth tools throughout the organization.
Responsible for the execution of the lean calendar including kaizen funnel review, charter development and review, facilitation of lean events and thorough follow up of events to ensure successful completion.
Lead and facilitate kaizen events as needed
Develops and effectively executes Action Plans and improvement targets.
Creates and maintains project schedules and metric tracking
Create and Deploy plant wide 5s program
Determine tooling needs and designs on machine equipment. Funneling design concepts through MCCB.
Manufacturing liaison for all ECR and APQP requests. Seeing requirements through from idea to manufacturing.

Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering discipline, or technical degree,
Demonstrated exposure to a variety of lean tools (value stream mapping, standard work, 5S, flow, pull, SMED, etc.
Strong influence skills without direct authority
Exposure to and participation in a wide variety of training environments
Good writing and administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)
Strong Project Management Skills
