The Sales Associate will help free up time for the ISR team to become more strategic in driving lead management and accountability with our distribution partners, allowing Micropump to achieve its financial commitment for Pivoting to the new Core. As well, allowing Micropump to add more distributors to our strategic CEP (Customer Engagement Program). They will do this by handling internal actions/communication between Sales, Operations, Marketing, Engineering and Finance teams. The Sales Associate needs to have customer service-oriented demeanor and the interest to progress into an ISR/RSM role. Have strong interpersonal skills that will promote success in managing the open order process and reporting out customer information to the team.
Act as the primary point of contact between Inside Sales and Engineering, Finance, Planning, MFG, Supply Chain and Shipping. Serve as developing communication for ISR’s to provide to customers regarding order management Manage the RA process from point of receipt to completion of the repair. Provide order entry back-up for the Inside Sales team. Answer customer calls and emails concerning order management, RA’s and technical support Update the customers on shipment delays as assigned, supporting proper documentation Support finance regarding A/R resolution Document leads in the CRM tool and maintain the accuracy of the database. Transfer customer calls regarding detailed technical/application inquiries to appropriate staff and confirm the action was completed. Provide customers with product, technical application, and service information. Recognize, document, and alert the Manager of trends in customer calls. Provide support for research and marketing efforts for promotion of marketing campaigns, VoC and lead management processes.
Recommend and implement process improvements to increase productivity and/or eliminate waste.
Other duties as assigned.
Learn the sales process using the CRM and lead generation tools.
Learn order entry, understand the manufacturing and quality processes.
Highlight new business development opportunities through VOC and leads management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education and Experience:
Associates degree in a technical field, Business Administration, or related field preferred
1 to 2 years customer service experience in sales within manufacturing environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of ERP/MRP/CRM systems
Good oral and written communications skills
Excellent customer service skills with a focus toward quality and detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Must have authorization to work in the United States of America and be able to have lawful access to controlled technology as required for this position.
Lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
Can work in an office or remote environment
Ability to work non-traditional hours
Frequently required to stand, sit, talk, and hear
Must be able to work in front of a computer and use a telephone for a large portion of the day
