IDEX Manager - Product Cost (Hybrid) in Rutherford, New Jersey

The Product Cost Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of product cost and inventory control across 5 Airtech business sites. This includes analyzing cost data, monitoring inventory levels, and implementing strategies to optimize profitability and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the month-end close, including preparation of inventory journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Collaborate with FP&A Manager for the monthly forecasts and annual planning process in terms of standard cost setting and understanding the cost trends.

  • Perform monthly cost variance analysis of standard to actual production cost.

  • Perform periodic review of bills of material to ensure accurate product costing.

  • Lead annual physical inventory count.

  • Assist operations to achieve and maintain close to 100% accuracy in cycle count program.

  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce carrying costs.

  • Work cross-functionally to identify and drive product cost improvement metrics and actions.

  • Maintain Material Master database.

  • Provide assistance during internal and external audits; gather necessary supporting documents to ensure successful audit completion.

  • Develop and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.

  • Provide finance business partner support on specific cost initiatives.

  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to support senior management decisions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis

  • Strong product costing technical skills with strong focus on continuous process improvement

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • ERP environment: JD Edwards/OneStream experience preferred

  • Consistently operates at the highest level of integrity and is never willing to compromise with regards to ethical standards

  • Clear and effective communication skills

  • Ability to organize multiple responsibilities and deliver results in an accurate and timely manner while adapting to changes in priorities
