POSITION SUMMARY

The Airtech US Finance Manager is responsible for partnering with the business to achieve financial commitments, optimize working capital, drive process improvement, systems, and financial reporting functions for Airtech US Pumps and Valves businesses.

Reporting to the Group Director Finance, the Airtech US Finance Manager will partner closely with Airtech Pumps and Valves GMs, as well as key functional leaders to provide strategic financial and business leadership. This role will be responsible for providing financial and business oversight of management reporting, financial planning / analysis, business strategy initiatives, capital investments, and special projects. In this highly decentralized environment, this person will have full responsibility for the business units P&L and balance sheet, cost accounting, and working capital, as well as ownership of operational controls, audit and SOX. This person will be expected to evaluate, design action plans and execute on operational efficiency opportunities for current procedures and processes. The Airtech US Finance Manager will have Cost/FP&A reporting directly and will partner with the centralized controllership team on day-to-day accounting activities.

Business Partnership & FP&A:

  1. Provide accurate financial results monthly, review and summarize variances of consolidated financial results for US Pumps and Valves leadership and drive a bias for action through a strong countermeasure culture.

  2. Deliver quality, forecasts with input and accountability from the business meeting both internal BU and corporate timelines – drive focus around key variances, trends, and risks and opportunities.

  3. Responsible for annual operating plan process, monthly forecasting / reporting, and support for strategic planning.

  4. Drive IDEX operating model culture – specifically around Monthly Business Review (MBR) and root cause countermeasure culture – provide actionable information timely and drive a bias for action across the businesses. Demonstrate leadership in Daily Management. Drive action around 8020 P&L’s.

  5. Build out and stabilize a monthly business rhythm for close, forecast and MBR.

  6. Partner with the Pumps and Valves GM’s and staff to complete IDEX integration activities, manage commercial growth, manufacturing unit’s efficiency and productivity, ES&A and working capital.

Process Improvement:

  1. Drive ERP system (JDE) process improvement with specific focus on AP and Inventory. 2. Lead JDE implementation for smallest site.

  2. Develop commercial and operations reporting to support analytics – gross margin mix, DMI, Price

  3. Partner with centralized controllership team to drive a 1 day reduction in close cycle

  4. Leads and/or participates in special projects and assignments as required.

Controllership :

  1. Responsible for asset preservation and working capital management – specifically focused on inventory control and capex. Partner with the business and controllership team to strategically drive improvements in DSO and DPO.

  2. ​Complete US Pumps and US Valves IKCQ assessments of IDEX SOX controls.

  3. ​Ensure strong control around cycle count processes and inventory management, customer credit controls etc.

MANAGEMENT:

  • Management & Development of FP&A/Cost accounting talent

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills

  • Ability to be a team player and build relationships at all levels within the organization

  • Consistently operate at the highest level of integrity and is never willing to compromise with regards to ethical standards.

  • Maintain and continually updates knowledge of the Company's product(s) and operating procedures to properly and effectively maintain accounting records which reflect the Company's operation and financial results.

  • Willingness to travel 20%

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA preferred.

  • 8+ yrs progressive accounting and leadership experience.

  • Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and implementing accounting and financial reporting standards.

  • Advanced PC / ERP / Database experience.

  • Solid experience and working knowledge of GAAP; ability to research and apply accounting pronouncements as appropriate.

  • Experience and knowledge of SOX requirements.
