This position will successfully guide and lead the Business Line’s profitability and growth in concert with the objectives set forth by the President of IH&S, and provide day-to-day leadership of the assigned Business Line. Focus to include ownership of commercial and technical resources (Product Management, Engineering & Program Management), P&L responsibility for a business line of >$100M, and global product/business scope. This role reports to the President of IDEX Health & Science.


Business Line Leadership:

  • Overall Management and development of the Business Line team and associated budget

  • Manage business line revenue and margin

  • Develop commercial tactics and strategies to drive profitable growth of IH&S Fluidics products in the Business Line

  • Deploy 8020 to optimize offer complexity and manage the life cycle

  • Formulate, execute, and maintain business line strategies, product plans, and roadmaps based on market insight


  • Overall responsibility for:

  • Product line definition and life cycle management

  • Product line investment prioritization (align tightly to strategy and roadmaps)

  • Product line budgets

  • Product line resource allocation

  • Collaborates effectively with Sales & Marketing Management, Business Development, Operations, and CTO on key strategic customers and targets

  • Oversee Business Line sales forecasts and tactical plans required to achieve or surpass forecasted results.


  • Guide Product and Technology roadmap development and maintenance

  • Guide NPD prioritization and investment in alignment with strategic plan and market conditions

  • Ensure timely delivery of strategic and customer-based NPD projects

  • Define, launch, and track new products


  • Collaborate with Fluidics Leadership to develop strategic plans for the Business Line and IH&S Fluidics

  • Develop, communicate and lead strategic plan execution effectively for Business Line, Sales and in alignment with IH&S

  • Ability to travel approximately 25%.


  • BS in Science / Engineering or Business Management (MBA preferred), or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Sales/Marketing and/or Product Development roles. Preferably in an OEM sales environment.

  • The successful candidate must have a proven track record, demonstrated by a progressive level of growth in responsibility and successful demonstration of leadership/ P&L business competencies.

  • Excellent business and commercial acumen.

  • Extensive global business experience. A strong commercial background, ability to effectively influence differing channels in differing geographies. Outstanding customer-facing communications and interaction skills

  • A “hands-on” professional who leads by example and motivates individuals at the company, at all levels, to strive for success and excellence.

  • An anticipatory style that enables him/her to identify problems and opportunities.


  • A strategic thinker/problem solver who can effectively interface with customers and colleagues at all levels.
