Position Title: Stock Room Manager

Location: IH&S Rohnert Park


Job Description/Responsibilities :

Responsible for all material movement within the IDEX H&S Rohnert Park Supply Chain. Directly responsible for shipping/receiving, inventory management, accuracy of stock on hand, all material handling including Returned Customer Products and Trade Compliance. Reports to the Director of Supply Chain.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

The Materials Manager will lead a team of Stockroom, Receiving, Shipping and Inventory Management functions. Responsible for developing a highly effective materials organization, assisting in the standardization of process and procedures to improve material flow within our entire supply chain. Responsible for the management of people, inventory, carriers and brokers, process and procedures to meet business objectives.

Develops and maintains materials policies and procedures which assure timely delivery of goods, equipment, materials, and supplies, consistent with quality standards and specifications of the company. Responsible for the tracking of Customer Returned Products (RMA’s) from Door to Door. Responsible for Trade Compliance for the site. Insures all transactions meet legal and company requirements. Point person for any audits, inquires or issues. Direct Interface with all carriers used and any Brokers required to Import/Export Goods. Provides for the continual improvement of inventory control systems within the Rohnert Park site. Institute a comprehensive Cycle Count Program including KPI’s. For all bulk items manages materials control/order policy, finding opportunities to improve processes including the order policy/lot sizes in order to effectively mirror our processes and anticipate material requirements while maintaining low inventory levels. Uses JDE ERP system and other data warehouse devices for effectively managing inventory. Highly involved in ongoing refinement of our manufacturing pull system. Management of personnel including coaching employees in the performance of daily duties, establishes performance standards, and provides support to ensure job results meet expectations. Writes and conducts performance appraisals in accordance with Company policies and procedures to provide feedback on past performance and to establish new goals for the employee in concert with those of the Company. Qualifications :

Knowledge/Education & Experience:

Five years Materials Management background in a Manufacturing environment. BS degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field. Demonstrated background in inventory planning and control systems emphasizing lean manufacturing and pull/Kanban principles. Strong Project Management Skills (PMI certification as plus) Thorough knowledge of MRP/ERP systems including the implementation of such a process. Certifications in Material Management, APICS and/or LEAN Supply Chain.
