SITE LOCATION: Virtual, Rohnert Park


These positions may require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident.

Provide hands-on application and technical expertise for JD Edwards in support of ERP projects and user issue resolution. Position is responsible for supporting all JDE modules with primary focus on Manufacturing, Planning & Distribution. Activities include business process improvement projects, system implementations, upgrades, ongoing end-user support, and support for third-party bolt-on packages. Work at the direction of the ERP Manager to improve business processes through optimal use of JDE.


  • Participate on cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues; coordinate integration, and acceptance testing of enhancements.

  • Develop new functional and business requirements for process enhancements, including providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing system options, specifications, and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.

  • Provide production support to users

  • Provide initial end user training on JDE and bolt-on applications

  • Develop and maintain end user training documentation

  • Assist in development of reports required by users and perform data analysis as needed.

  • Support the configuration, testing, and deployment of 3rd party applications

  • Provide regular updates on project status, issue resolution and other metrics to team lead and ERP Manager

  • Work with business process owners to improve business process flows.

  • Train new users on JDE and/or report writing tools

  • Assist in developing, promoting and implementation of best practices, standards, and controls

  • Provide support for JDE controls and segregation of duties to meet SOX requirements.

  • Identify and diagnose problems affecting system integrity and data accuracy, conduct routine testing and analysis.

  • Provide support for data integration requirements for enterprise level systems such as data warehouse, RFSmart, Precision (TRAX) compliance, bar coding, and other enterprise level applications.

  • Stay current with all application issues, software defects or shortcomings through Oracle Knowledge Base site, other published materials & online forums

  • Ability to travel as required. Generally, less than 50% but there may be periods with more


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required. (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, etc).

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with JDE applications as a business or technical system analyst

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with cross-functional teams and heavily matrixed organizations

  • Experience as part of a JDE implementation team

  • Relevant and hands-on experience as a JDE implementation consultant or in-house analyst

  • In depth functional knowledge of the JDE

  • Project management experience as a single contributor and leading small projects

  • Ability to learn new 3rd party ERP packages

  • Proficient working knowledge using MS Excel formulas and pivot tables for data analysis

  • Functional JDE knowledge of the standard integration tools available in the current 9.2 release (BSSV – Business Services, AIS – Application Integration Services)

  • Functional JDE knowledge of the forms package tool available in the current 9.2 release (BI – embedded BI)

  • Proficient using JDE EnterpriseOne development tools (OMW, FDA, ERW, UDOs) is preferred

  • Proficient using Orchestrator, BI Publisher, SAP Business Objects, and Microsoft Power BI is preferred
