The Shipping Technician is a multi-skilled employee that will be responsible for working with Focus Factory Managers to pull and package orders safely and accurately using manual and mechanical methods. They are responsible for correctly identifying and packaging equipment to customer expectations, and will process shipments in the online shipping system.
Job Description:
Pull and package orders, including but not limited to:
Pull all necessary equipment
Package all equipment
Pick confirm all lines in JDE at time of packing
Upload all serial numbers in JDE
Complete CSC shipments when brought to shipping
Consolidate parts and equipment orders
Provide weights and dimensions to Focus Factory Managers
Provide Focus Factor Managers with updates on missed shipments on a daily basis
Notify Logistics Coordinator when orders are ready for shipping
Manually loads material to pallets, trays, racks and shelves using safe lifting techniques
Operates fork truck and other material handling equipment per safety policies
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Basic math requirements, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook
JDE working knowledge, based on training provided
Must be able to safely perform single or repeated manual lifts of up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Education and Experience
Problem solving abilities
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and all levels of corporate and company personnel
Must be able to work well and cooperate with all departments across the organization
Work Environment
Exposure to manufacturing environment. Noise level may vary from moderate office environment to noisy/loud in the plant area. Proper use of safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apron, and face shield must be observed.
