IDEX Senior Manager, Inventory & Planning in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

The Senior Manager, Inventory & Planning is responsible for leading the inventory management and operations planning process to effectively balance forecasted demand and supply to deliver targeted revenue goals, onsite on-time delivery KPI’s, and ultimately meet customer requirements. This individual will champion communication between operations, commercial, and logistics teams to streamline production flow and minimize operations disruptions.

Essential Functions:

  • Owns the movement of material and associated information from receiving through delivery to production

  • Lead the inventory and operations planning process

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the materials and production scheduling teams

  • Establish a robust SIOP process along with an integrated master production schedule that ties in the supply and demand forecasts to improved production throughput, operational efficiency and OTD for our customers

  • Lead a team that develops, executes, and monitors planning strategies implemented within the enterprise resource planning system to meet service level and inventory objectives. This would include demand and supply planning, master production scheduling, and finished goods planning

  • Responsible for management of all raw, WIP, and finished goods inventory to support overall business objectives.

  • Maintain a strong working relationship with business partners in adjacent and supporting functions.

  • Lead the team in delivering improved business results in order fill rate performance, inventory turns, slow moving and obsolete inventory, and other metrics through rapid process improvements

  • Provide early identification of problems, advise senior leadership of risks, and recommend options and/or corrective action

  • Monitor team performance, provide feedback and development opportunities

  • Collaborate with finance to ensure that relevant inputs are provided for a successful financial reporting and analysis

  • Utilize lean tools to develop and continuously improve standardized planning processes and collaborate with all functional areas to drive efficiencies across the business

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations to implement seamless material transitions or new product introductions with minimal obsolescence

  • Responsible for inventory management to develop Plan For Every Part (PFEP) strategies to achieve target inventory turnover while minimizing negative customer impacts due to product shortage or delays

  • Responsible for ensuring the demand plan, supply plan and production plans are integrated into a level-loaded master schedule that will optimize production efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field required

  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, materials, or similar function related to Planning and Inventory Control in a similar production environment (machining and assembly)

Specific knowledge, skills and/or experience:

  • Experience in using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI & Tableau

  • Experience in data mining, analysis, and reporting

  • Understanding of the application and concepts of Planning and Production Control fundamentals including MRP (JDEdwards preferred), Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Scheduling, and Lean Manufacturing

  • Highly skilled in engaging teams to deliver results in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Strong project management leadership, knowledge, and skills, covering planning and execution, including ability to rapidly assess risk and identify/resolve issues.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

Exposure to manufacturing environment. Noise level may vary from moderate office environment to noisy/loud in the plant area. Proper use of safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apron, and face shield must be observed.

Travel

Up to 5% Domestic travel per year
