The Manufacturing Engineer will start his/her career in the design phase of
a new product launch for IDEX Corporation working closely with the Project
Leader and NPD team on both the mechanical and electrical side of product
design to become a subject matter expect (SME) on the manufacturing process
for the new product line. The Manufacturing Engineer will develop and
improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing
methods. Upon launch of new design the manufacturing engineer will
transition into a the site manufacturing engineering role for the new and
existing product lines; working closely on the manufacturing / quality side
of the product but also as the SME for manufacturing guidance on design
Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research onproduct and manufacturing methods; applying knowledge of product design,fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipmentvendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturingprocess.
Improves manufacturing safety, quality and efficiency by analyzing andplanning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testingfinished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards;confirming manufacturing processes.
Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculatingproduction, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules;estimating future requirements.
Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, andsummarizing information and trends.
Maintain product and company reputation by complying with governmentregulations.
Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services;following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures;requesting special service.
Complete design and development projects by training and guidingtechnicians.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educationalworkshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personalnetworks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings toensure collaborating and cohesion.
Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems.
Develop standardized design criteria across all product lines.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering required
5+ years’ design and quality control experience in product manufacturing
Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, ProductDevelopment, Presenting Technical Information, CAD, CAD/CAM Circuit Design
Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
History of progressive responsibility a plus
Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs
Experience in designing, selection & procurement of tooling, jigs &fixtures, tube bending, tack welding & welding, mechanical precisionassemblies, special test equipment’s.
Experience in qualifying, validating & document special processes likewelding, (ASME & PED standards) brazing, and soldering.
Preferred Education and Experience:
ProE/Creo/Solidworks CAD & FEA experience
Six Sigma GreenBelt / BlackBelt certification (or equivalent experience)
Experience with ERP systems
Experience working with ISO 9001 or QMS systems

- Exposure to manufacturing environment. Noise level may vary from moderateoffice environment to noisy/loud in the plant area. Proper use of safetyequipment such as steel-toed shoes, goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apronand face shield must be observed.
Initial 1-2 years will be spent traveling between IDEX Energy Groupfacilities and customer locations mainly in the following areas: Colorado,Oklahoma, Florida & potentially India (75% travel)
Final Job location will be in Oklahoma City, OK
Once permanently located in OKC up to 25% Domestic and International travelper year
