The Shipping Clerk III is responsible for the timely preparation, assembly, and shipment of orders.
Retrieve product for shipment from multiple material storage locations.
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing product to verify information against Picking Ticket or other records.
Assembles containers in accordance with shipper/customer specifications to ensure safe delivery of product to customer’s location.
Process shipping information utilizing shippers software.
Affixes shipping information to packaged container for identification by carrier and or customer.
Apply special package handling instructions as required by carrier and or customer.
Utilize material handling devices for retrieval and movement of product, i.e. forklift.
Maintain professional appearance and conduct in dealings with carrier, vendors and customers.
Ensure Bill of Material accuracy for kit parts.
Create and produce work orders.
Analyze daily demand and plan kit assemblies for the day.
Manage the Available to Ship Report and provide printed pick slips to team.
Coordinate shipping logistics with internal customers and customer freight forwarders.
Timely coordination and communication of shipments.
All other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
High school education or equivalent, or up to six month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient with UPS WorldShip or similar
Proficient in JDE or similar.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish preferred.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using measurements in weight, volume, and quantity
Maintain professional conduct in dealing with customers and vendors
Ability to use common sense to carry out written and verbal instructions
- Proficient with email, shipping software, and business software.

This position may require employee to stand for 8 hours per day with required overtime
Continuous bending and lifting of boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
Driving a forklift for extended periods of time.
The work area may be in a non-air-conditioned plant with cement floors.
