Provide Finance and Oak Harbor leadership teams with financial information

by researching and analyzing accounts; preparing and publishing relevant

financial reporting in a manufacturing environment.


  • Assists in the preparation of financial reporting by gathering andanalyzing information from the general ledger system and fromdepartment leads.

  • Prepares and reviews various daily operating metrics to monitorbusiness performance

  • Analyzes and reviews bills of materials to ensure accurate productcosting

  • Organizes and runs monthly EOZ meeting on inventory with SupplyChain

  • Assists in annual physical inventory and preparation

  • Prepares actual versus budget analysis, manufacturing profitvariance analysis and actual to standard cost comparisons

  • Assists in the preparation of month end operating review package

  • Prepares mid-month and month end manufacturing variance reports

  • Participates in preparation of the annual budget and forecastpackages

  • Primary responsibility for all fixed asset reporting including

  • Asset set up in BNA software

  • conduct rolling 5 year physical audit of fixed assets

  • Preparation and filing of property tax returns

  • manage property tax audits by government agencies

  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports;verifying information.

  • Monthly closing activities including accruing expenses; preparingjournal entries, disbursement and reconciling accounts.

  • Improving accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures;recommending changes.

  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching andinterpreting data.

  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educationalopportunities; reading professional publications; maintainingpersonal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  • Participates in inter-departmental projects and inter-site projectsas required to support business decisions



  • Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Experience in ERP systems (JDE preferred)

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills to workeffectively outside the accounting department

  • Consistently operates at the highest level of integrity and isnever willing to compromise with regards to ethical standards.

  • Flexibility in work schedule as overtime is required based onbusiness needs

  • Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environmentpreferred

  • Occasional travel may be needed INTERPERSONALQUALIFICATIONS
