About the DEI Team
The Global DEI Team at IDEX Corporation is a highly collaborative group of professionals working to build out the DEI function of IDEX in partnership with the IDEX Executive Leadership Team and the HR function in a decentralized business model. The team is poised to be seen collectively as subject matter experts within the DEI space, using their deep interaction with the field to develop solutions and champion them to HR leadership.
The DEI Manager is responsible for managing diversity projects in the areas of inclusive leadership, diversity recruiting, diverse talent, best practices and employee resource groups. Reporting to the VP Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, this manager will support the integration and coordination of DEI activities company-wide. The DEI manager will work closely with the Global Director, Inclusion, Director Diversity Strategy and Director DEI Europe & Asia to ensure IDEX is maximizing and deepening its DEI impact and reach. They will also partner with various HR teams (communication, HRIS, Talent) to ensure DEI activities are connected and integrated with key HR activities.
Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To
In partnership with Communications and field HR functions, responsible for designing and delivering the branding and value proposition for DEI work across the organization
Identify and highlight DEI best practices, initiatives, and success stories across the organization through various social media platforms
Maintain and communicate DEI calendar to increase education and celebration throughout the year
Support the build out of DEI metrics across the business
Determine and implement tracking mechanism for various metrics in HRIS system
Seen as SME for field support in interpreting and building action from metrics
Support ERG’s in tracking metrics in partnership with DEI team
Update metrics regularly to identify opportunities and gaps in timely manner
Manage external DEI vendor relationships to ensure full utilization and effectiveness
Identify key indices and determine best way to implement into our organization working with the DEI team and field HR to successfully action plan
Keeps current with, identifies, and shares global diversity, equity and inclusion-related trends and benchmarking; coordinates with internal and external teams related to DEI
Manage diversity outreach initiatives and programs including recruiting, training opportunities, ERG support, etc
Plan and coordinate logistics for events
Influence and champion attendees list to ensure strong IDEX & leadership representation
Lead various cross-functional DEI projects and programs that drive desired business outcomes including engagement, metric improvement, retention through influence leaders, relationship building and collaboration
Characteristics of a Successful Candidate

Demonstrated learning agility, including the ability to successfully navigate and deploy strategy in a decentralized business model
Familiarity and experience with HR systems and processes
Ability to work effectively with HR leadership and executive stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives, prioritization, and successful execution of deliverables
Utilizing proven interpersonal and change management skills to advance culture and talent initiatives
Self-starter with proven ability to produce positive results under tight deadlines with limited resources
Preferred Educational Background
- Bachelors Degree in related field
Preferred Experiential Background
8+ years of progressive business experience in related field (HR, marketing) with 3+ year DEI specific track record of evaluating, designing and/or executing solutions with examples of successful outcomes required
Experience with building successful data & metrics tracking solutions
Experience in a decentralized business model successfully balancing influence and directing preferred
High attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced organization
Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables and charts
Good communication and teamwork skills
