1. Job Description

As a member of the Internal Sales Team the Internal Account manager (IAM) will play a key role in supporting the sales team. They will work alongside the key Account Manager / Business Development Manager and other internal teams to aid achieving and exceeding the company’s sales targets and maximising contribution levels. The role and tasks performed within the role will all be inline with the business units 80/20 initiative.

3. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all actions are in line with Business Unit’s strategy.

  • Develop a solid and trusting relationship between key accounts and FTL.

  • Proactively manage key accounts along with aiding the management of the market sector. by helping to perform key tasks such as accurate forecasting.

  • Resolving key account issues and complaints.

  • Handling Key account enquiries and orders.

  • Meeting all the accounts needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines.

  • Working closely with the Key Account Manager / Business Development Manager responsible for the same accounts and market sector.

  • Work closely with all other internal teams, including engineering, operations and purchasing to ensure we deliver an excellent customer experience.

4. Competencies Required

Job Knowledge

  • Experienced within a sales and account management environment

  • Experienced in developing and building relationships within target accounts

  • Experience of working with business management software

  • Ability to develop and gain an understanding/knowledge of customers, products and markets.

  • Creating and adhere to working practices and process flows. Identify process flow problems and action making changes

  • Communicate and collaborate with customers daily to understand their needs and how the organisation can meet these needs.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to deliver a service that meets both FTL’s and customer needs

5. Education and/or Experience

Minimum GCSE Math’s and English

Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a sales and account management role

Experience in delivering customer focused solutions based on customer needs
