Life Science Fluidics:

As an associate Product Manager, you will be responsible for products in the Chromatography Business Line, which develops high-performance fluidic components and assemblies for the Analytical Instrumentation market. Our group develops hardware to support chromatography, mass spectrometry, and all related analytical fields.

This key role requires a collaborative individual with strong organization and communication skills. The right individual will have a demonstrated track record of driving cross-functional teams to achieve successful and predictable product releases. The position will be a key input to the business’ overall direction of its products and markets served and is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, sizing market potential and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing teams to develop and launch new products. The Product Manager will champion and implement all new product and market strategies, whilst determining the most effective and successful approach to growing the existing portfolio.


As Product Manager, your primary focus will be on providing the business key information and guidance on both the upstream & downstream marketing as it relates to the 4-P’s (Price, Product, Promotion, Place). You will have a critical influence on the overall direction of the business. Therefore, we are seeking a champion, with a winning spirit, who can excel in the following areas:

  • Provide product life cycle management of assigned product line(s), including introduction of new products along with product line rationalization.

  • Competitive benchmarking and market share/trend analysis pricing and promotion. Develop market insight through voice of customer research, in-depth competitive analysis, and market segmentation

  • Values and develops strong customer relationships

  • Manage product line revenue, margin, pricing, and investment

  • New Product Development experience from VOC to concept and through product launch to meet business case

  • Drive 80/20 complexity reduction across the product lines including product rationalization to optimize offering and complexity and manage the product life cycle

  • Drives margin expansion for the Product Line by working with Operations \ Supply Chain to drive cost reductions (PPV), Engineering to drive VA\VE projects and Commercial team on pricing

  • Full understanding and successful execution of a staged NPD Process in a manufacturing environment

  • Works closely with Engineering to identify root causes to product issues and resolve

  • Works closely on value-based pricing


It is critical for the individual hired to come into this role enthusiastic and ready to work, with clear objectives laid before them. In the first 6-months, the expectation for this candidate will be as follows:

  • Learn the business’ products, customers, and competition

  • Establish key product roadmaps for a three-year horizon roadmap

  • Product Management lead working closely with Engineering to develop new products

  • Key driver in commercial process to over deliver to our larger customers

  • Deep understanding of the market, identifying growth opportunities of the annual strategic planning process

  • Absorb day-to-day activities as it relates to the products, price and promotion


  • Bachelor’s degree in related area. MBA or MS preferred

  • 5+ years product management experience, with at least three of those years in developing new product in an industrial or manufacturing environment

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities

  • Ability to understand and demonstrate technical products

  • Experience working with competitive pricing, promotions with manufactured products

  • International experience will be considered a plus

  • Ability to recognize value sell opportunities and create sales tools to support the field

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint required
