IDEX Accounts Receivable Specialist in Mansfield, Ohio

Summary : Perform the credit and collection functions at Warren Rupp. Maintain effective customer relationships to resolve credit / collection issues.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily / Weekly:

  • Apply cash collections to customer accounts and outstanding invoices

  • Fulfill customer requests for copies of outstanding invoices and statements

  • Follow-up with customers to promptly resolve past dues invoices

  • Initiate requests to Accounting Manager for orders to be released from credit hold

  • Perform Accounts Receivable problem solving. Work with customers and sales managers to resolve invoicing / payment disputes

Monthly / Yearly:

  • Confirm monthly accounts receivable balances with IDEX intercompany partners

  • Maintain customer files in compliance with IDEX Policy

  • Assist with accounts receivable & past due reporting for use by Warren Rupp and IDEX management

  • Provide various other financial reporting to Warren Rupp and IDEX management

  • Assist with communication of Warren Rupp and IDEX change of banking instructions to customers, annually

  • Supply credit history information to inquiring customers

  • Obtain and maintain up-to-date records of sales tax exemption certificates for domestic customers


Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Associated decree in Accounting or equivalent.

  • 1-3 years Accounts Receivable, or related experience

Other Special Requirements:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Planning and organization; an ability to plan and manage multiple tasks

  • Strong ability to independently research and resolve customer issues with invoices and outstanding balances

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • JDEdwards working knowledge, based on training provided

Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex.

  • Perform general office functions.

  • Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.

  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

  • General manufacturing, warehouse, and office environment.

Organizational Relationships:

  • Must communicate effectively and constructively with customers, suppliers, and all levels of corporate and company personnel

  • Continuous contact with other Warren Rupp employees and management personnel

  • Frequent contact with Warren Rupp Regional Sales Managers and Customer Service personnel
