Position Summary:
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for daily and weekly scheduling, collaborating closely with the Operations Manager to prioritize tasks efficiently. Additionally, they will play a crucial role in developing training plans, providing oversight to coating and fabrication processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for optimizing operations, excellent organizational skills, and a strong ability to lead and inspire a team.
*This position starts at 9am and the standard work schedule will be Monday through Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Safety
Prioritize safety of team at all times
Identify and lead safety improvement projects throughout facility
Quality
Ensure quality standards are maintained on all products
Participate in Material Review Board meetings
Set priorities, assign resources where needed, set KPI’s and ensure adherence
Implement any processes or dispositions deemed by the Material Review Board of 5S findings
Scheduling and Prioritization:
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop and implement daily and weekly schedules.
Prioritize tasks based on operational needs, deadlines, and resource availability.
Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in production requirements.
Training and Development:
Design and implement training plans for new and existing employees.
Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure training programs align with organizational goals.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Interview and onboard new hires
Collaborate with Operations Manager on resource allocations and needs
Performance Management
Participate in IDEX Organizational Talent Review Cycle
Provide feedback to team members regularly on goals, performance, and expectations
Hold team members accountable to IDEX Values, culture, and quality standards
Oversight of Coating and Fabrication:
Monitor coating and fabrication processes to ensure quality standards are met.
Address any issues or challenges that arise during production promptly.
Collaborate with the quality control team to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
Ensure proper pass downs are completed between shifts and troubleshoot issues collaboratively
Work Instructions:
Develop and update comprehensive work instructions for various operational tasks.
Ensure that work instructions are clear, accurate, and aligned with industry best practices.
Train or facilitate training to team members on the proper execution of work instructions.
Any other duties as assigned by the manager or his/her designate
Experience / Skills / Abilities:
Experience leading a team or project within a manufacturing environment desired
Experience with optics a plus
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience using Microsoft Excel and Teams
Familiar with clean room and ESD safe environments constraints

Reporting and Location:
This position is based in Longmont, Colorado and reports to the Operations Manager.

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $57,900.00 - $86,900.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
