Responsible for all aspects of the cash posting process, researches and resolves issues with unapplied cash, works with customers to apply credits or process refunds, responsible for intra-company billing, calculates quarterly A/R reserve requirement, prepares monthly Cash Flow Forecasts, assists in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
REPORTING TO : Accounting Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Performs the daily cash posting to customer accounts and/or general ledger accounts in JD Edwards.
Reconciles daily cash posting to customer sub ledger and general ledger.
Works with customers to resolve any remittance discrepancies on a daily basis.
Responsible for the organization of cash receipt batch documentation in electronic format.
Completes and issues insurance certificates and W9s as requested.
Responsible for the distribution of monthly customer account statements and issues copies of invoices as requested by customers.
Responsible for monthly intra-company billing and reconciliation of intra and inter-company A/R accounts, including resolving discrepancies
Corresponds with other business units as necessary to confirm month-end balances.
Prepares and processes journal entries related to deferred revenue, bad debt reserve, quarterly A/R revenue recognition reserves, and others as assigned.
Reconciles all general ledger accounts related to A/R on a monthly basis.
Participates on process improvement teams and supports process improvement through the use of daily metrics and regular meetings. Identifies and acts upon opportunities to maximize the productivity.
Expected to advise the supervisor or VP Finance/Global Controller immediately of any errors, irregularities or significant adjustments or journal entries as they occur.
Complies with Environmental, Safety, and Hazardous Communications requirements.
OTHER FUNCTIONS :
Completes all other duties as assigned.
Rotates into other functions as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:
Computer literate with the following programs: MS Office including Excel,
Four year business degree with accounting emphasis and/or equivalent experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, solves problems, and improves processes.
Strong personal computer skills and spreadsheet experience (Excel preferred).

Requires use of hands and arms 60 % or more of the time.
Lifting requirements are generally less than 10 lbs. Manual lifting could reach the company maximum of 65 lbs. Climate-controlled office environment, but some time may be required on the manufacturing shop floor. Noise exposure is light to moderate.
