The Supply Chain Manager is an integral member of the operations team, providing leadership to help improve customer service levels, working capital, and achieve cost reduction targets. This role is responsible for driving business solutions and practices to develop a demand driven Supply Chain approach. The Supply Chain Manager will organize and implement strategic initiatives and standardized approaches in Procurement/Sourcing Management, Materials/Inventory Management, and Distribution & Logistics. This position will be leading Strategic & Tactical Purchasing, Sourcing, and Logistics.

Success for this role is defined by leading a supply chain team that supports the Order to Cash framework. This will be measured by ongoing improvement of delivery, ongoing improvement in working capital, ongoing cost reduction in terms of total cost of ownership, and the development of his/her team.


  • Deploy demand driven supply chain strategy that supports operational excellence and long range plans

  • Ensure Supply Chain is synchronized to produce maximum efficiencies and lowest cost of operation

  • Work closely with operations leaders and theirteams to achieve operational objectives in cost, quality, delivery, and inventory turnover

  • Develop and challenge resources to improve performance through systems utilization and process improvements

  • Lead and improve Procurement/Sourcing Management best practices including continuous improvement of Purchasing Methods, Vendor Management, and Supplier Quality

  • Lead and improve Material/Inventory Management best practices including Plan for Every Part (PFEP), ABC Analysis, and Advanced Replenishment Methods

  • Lead and improve Distribution & Logistics best practices and network optimization including trade compliance, and transportation management

  • Leads initiative to ensure continuity of supply throughout operations to achieve uninterrupted supply of quality components and assemblies

  • Responsible for maintaining scorecard of local suppliers in thekey categories of quality, delivery, and cost

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement plans or corrective actions as needed throughout the Supply Chain

  • Champions standard IDEX Supply Chain/Procurement tools and methodologies, and is a recognized subject matter expert

  • Coaches and mentors his/her Supply Chain teams to improve engagement with local technical/commercial stakeholders and to establish communication channels between the cross functional teams


  • Provides and facilitates communication amongst team members and between team and other areas

  • Resolves differences and/or conflicts situations effectively

  • Minimum of B.S. or equivalent in Supply Chain/Sourcing or a relevant engineering, scientific, or business discipline.Advanced degree, MS and/or MBA, is preferred

  • Experience in Operations, Supply Chain Management, and Continuous Improvement

  • APIC’s or equivalent certification desired

  • Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems JDE and/or Syteline preferred

  • Experience in managing and successfully completing complex and expansive projects
