The FP&A Analyst is a key member of the Finance organization with responsibility for supporting financial consolidation, forecasting/budgeting for the Scientific Fluidics & Optics Group. This position will provide support to the Finance & Operations teams, and reports to the FP&A Manager. Position requires excellent analytical and communication skills as well as knowledge in manufacturing/financial reporting and business operations in a growth-oriented environment. The role will provide ad-hoc financial analyses to support meeting profitability and growth objectives. This position also plays a vital role in supporting the Strategic & Annual Operating Plans development and submittal.
SCOPE / SUPERVISION & INTERACTION
The FP&A Analyst reports to the FP&A Manager and is responsible to compile, summarize and analyze financial reporting data. Directly interacts with FP&A Manager, Commercial Manager, Finance Directors & VP of Finance to develop new tools in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance, operational excellence, and other criteria that directly reflect the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
Compile financial and operating results and provide financial support to the operating team driving accuracy and timeliness reports.
Drive simplification improving daily & monthly reporting as MBR’s, QOR’s & AOP.
Become a business partner with the sites to deliver accurate and timely MBR’s.
Participates in the preparation and analysis of financial reports for quarterly and monthly business reviews.
Develop tracking mechanism for critical site KPI’s and analytics.
Support consolidation of productivity, CAPEX & working capital management to drive gross margin AOP target.
Create necessary & ad hoc reporting to manage business profitability.
Coordinate and complete month and quarter end close process for the group using consistent process.
Provides bonus reporting to Finance Directors.
Coordinate and develop the consolidation for Strategic and Annual Operating Plans.
Works with FP&A & Operations Manager in executing various projects to improve visibility and business simplification.
Support Operations Teamwith 80/20 analysis and other ad hoc analyses (Machining strategy & Make vs. Buy analysis, Material Costs, EOZ avoidance).
Degree in Finance or Accounting.
Minimum of 2-3 years of finance experience.
Experience in preparing, analyzing, and implementing accounting and reporting requirements.
2-3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience with PC and ERP systems, JD Edwards preferred.
Excellent computer and technological skills, including high proficiency in Hyperion and Microsoft Office Applications.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Works effectively in a team environment, within and outside of the Finance Department.
