Act as primary inside contact for Viking’s largest direct sale (OEM) customers and provide support for the related OEM Regional Sales Managers. Provide proactive, differentiated, and superior service.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handles requests regarding customer contracts, contract maintenance, expediting, rescheduling, pricing and quotations.
Serve as a liaison between customers, regional sales and factory personnel.
Systematically review customers’ orders status and proactively coordinate with Manufacturing and Purchasing to ensure superior on-time delivery and responsiveness.
Communicate product and policy changes to assigned customers and RSM’s.
Communicate to customers any changes affecting scheduling, pricing, and delivery.
Proactively contact customers to identify that needs are being met and solicit feedback on performance.
Provide quotations on behalf of Viking Pump using standard list prices with set multipliers.
Measure work including: customer contacts, quote hit rates, order rates.
Provide appropriate services to customers based on their predetermined service level.
Cover LACT & Energy accounts as needed
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 year college education or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in Customer Support, Marketing, or Sales roles.
Proficient in use of common software, JDE experience is a plus.
OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent listening and communication skills.
Adaptable/Flexible in response to changing daily situations.
Service Oriented with a positive attitude.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook
WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.
Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.
Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers, suppliers, and all levels of corporate and company personnel.
Frequent contact with Customers, RSM’s, Application Engineers, Quality Assurance personnel, Purchasing personnel, and Manufacturing personnel.
