The purpose of the quality inspector is the carry out inspection of all parts to ISO standards and customer requirements. The quality inspector will conduct first-off audits and in-process audits to ensure product quality. The quality inspector will be responsible for working with the operators to alert them of quality issues in order to have corrective action take place.
Ensure all first-offs, audits, and final inspections are carried out in a timely manner and assure that the product meets specified quality requirements
Report and manage issues that arise on the shift, ensuring action is taken to remove problems with support functions. Notify management or MRB team as necessary
Ensure process audits are conducted in a timely manner to try to eliminate problems at the source
Assist in the improvement of quality standards across manufacturing, driving quality to the source; promote a “quality is everyone’s responsibility” environment
Notifies press operators of any corrective and preventative action needs to try to eliminate scrap
Assist with measurement and evaluation of parts per print or special direction for process improvement project or NPD parts
Clean room environment: hair net, personal protective equipment, shoe covers, lab coat
High noise level in drum room, low noise level in finishing room
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
6 months prior experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience in detail-oriented roles
Must be able to read and write in English
Must understand basic manufacturing math
Must possess effective communication skills
High school diploma/GED
Prior experience in quality role
