Provide critical documentation interface between engineering and production through the application of technical documents and work instructions. Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Research & Development, Engineering and Logistics teams to translate processes into approved internal documents. They will author and revise internal documents and identify areas of improvement.
This position will require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident or ability to meet contract-specific licensure requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Define and create writing standards, processes, and templates for production and engineering documentation
Writes and edits procedural and technical documentation
Assesses the audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended; adjusts tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and to ensure understanding.
Determines the type of publication that will best serve the project requirements.
Author clear and accurate documentation that enables internal teams to better onboard and follow manufacturing instructions.
Creates or works with engineers to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.
Work closely with engineering and production teams within to define documentation requirements and produce internal docs.
Migrate content from one content management system to another.
Discuss technical details and solve problems with engineers, technicians, and partners, every day.
Collaborate with others and coordinate on the delivery of shared content.
Respond directly to user feedback and integrate user suggestions to continuously improve your documentation.
Works with quality to understand discrepancies in documentation
Documents qualification plans and other engineering content as needed
Performs other duties as assigned by the team manager
2+ years of experience in a technical writer role or equivalent technical experience.
BA/BS degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, Applied Science, or other related technical field
Experience with documentation for internal customers and related roles.
Ability to handle time and priorities in a dynamic environment at a high-growth company.

Pay Range: $68k - 75k/year
Bonus: This position is eligible for company discretionary bonus
