Advanced Thin Films is currently looking for a hands-on Facilities and Maintenance Manager. The right candidate will have significant experience with manufacturing equipment, including vacuum systems, hardware and electronics. The right candidate will also have a clear desire to succeed and be effective working in a fast-paced environment. On a personal level, the candidate will exhibit the highest standards of integrity, deliver upon all commitments, and be a highly motivated, team player. This position is based in Boulder, Colorado.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Train and supervise employees in maintenance team
Track expenses and oversee budget for maintenance activities
Negotiate contracts with external vendors for maintenance and facilities work
Implement workplace safety policies and standards.
Develop and execute on comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule
Build team to effectively maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, vacuum and software systems
Real-time troubleshooting of issues based on root cause assessment
Support off-line improvement projects related to maintenance, uptime and MTBF
Work with engineering and manufacturing to improve process and equipment reliability
Responsible for maintenance-related performance metrics for all production equipment
Implement new machine tool availability metrics and reporting, including OEE
Develop resourcing plans for maintenance team
Work with cross functional teams to identify and deploy new capital
Installation and upgrades of equipment, hardware and software
Work with cross functional IT and engineering teams to ensure custom hardware
Support Continuous Improvement events regarding facility optimization
Manage CMMS system for maintenance tracking and planning
Desired Background and Qualifications:
Success in this position requires the applicant to have:
A minimum of a 2-year technical degree, or 6+ years relevant experience
Desired knowledge of cleanroom systems
Direct experience with ion sources and electron guns is preferred
Direct experience with the repair, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis of vacuum equipment
Formal electronics and vacuum training are desirable
Familiarity with machine control systems and programming
Experience with facility systems, including HVAC, compressed air, and chilled water systems
Strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated team leadership skills
Willingness to learn and receive and incorporate feedback
Proficiency with MS Office
Willingness to work flexible work hours including weekends and/or holidays
This position may require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident.
Salary Range: $115 - 125k annually
Bonus: This position is eligible for company discretionary bonus
