SCOPE OF ROLE:

The Director of Human Resources is the business group’s functional leader

charged with developing, organizing and executing all Human Resources

strategies for the organization. This includes responsibility for the

entire employment process, recruitment, employee and labor relations,

organizational development, employee compensation, safety, compliance, and

employee retention and development.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY:

Handle and execute day to day and long term Human Resource related

activities and needs. These will include but not be limited to the

following:

Leadership of HR Team and Function:

  • Work with HR team to develop skills and capabilities involving,

delegating to and/or mentoring them in the appropriate areas outlined

below.

Strategic Alignment and Execution

  • Drive IDEX HR priorities through operating model and engagementactivities.

  • Represents function and provides appropriate inputs in business group’skey annual strategic processes: Annual Operating Plan, Strategic Planand Annual HR Talent Review.

  • Strategic partner to the President responsible for ensuring functionalalignment with the business’ go to market strategies and strategicinitiatives.

Feedback and Coaching for Leadership Team & President

  • Push team development process to build AA Senior Leadership Team andcritical teams.

  • Identify specific development areas and provide feedback to Presidentand peers.

  • Offer timely feedback as opportunities arise to improve individual andteam performance.

Organizational Talent Development

  • Revitalize career development plans, based on performance reviews, 360reviews, Talent/HR Review, etc.

  • Facilitate and lead training initiatives; annual Talent/HR Review,leadership development, employee skills training and development.

  • Coordinate and run Workday performance management process.

  • Development of VOE (Voice of Employee) metrics and process improvementprojects.

  • Responsible for the development and capabilities of the HR Staff.

Employee Engagement

  • Be a catalyst in building an inclusive culture.

  • Integrate a comprehensive recognition & reward system.

  • Drive a comprehensive and effective communications plan.

  • With leadership team, execute action plans to build an environment ofpremier employee engagement.

Compliance and HR Administration

  • Act as the group’s Ethics Officer to coordinate and handle compliancewith all applicable regulatory and corporate policy requirements.

  • Integrate and communicate HR Scorecard to management team, highlightingHR metrics and their impact.

  • Shape, implement and maintain processes that ensure regulatory andorganizational policy compliance.

Talent Acquisition

  • Deliver a recruitment plan that aligns with strategic objectives,incorporates traditional and non-traditional recruitment sources andensures the casting of a “wide net” to attract and introduce qualifieddiverse candidates to the organization.

  • Develop and execute a strategic recruitment plan designed toinstitutionalize top-grading and the continuous improvement of thebusiness’ talent pool.

  • Direct and execute the recruitment process; advertising, jobdescriptions, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and referencechecks.

  • Formulate, execute and maintain new employee “on-boarding” process.

  • Be a great partner with recruitment agencies (temporary and permanentplacement).

Compensation, Benefits and Payroll/HRIS

  • Coordinate benefits plans; annual benefits open enrollment, and issueresolution.

  • Maintains HRIS, payroll systems, time and attendance systems, andensures data integrity.

  • Manage compensation plans; prepare and implement annual salary plans,develop and align compensation plans to drive desired employee andbusiness performance.

Safety & Risk Management

  • Act as liaison with Workers Compensation insurer to handle all workerscompensation claims.

  • Implement best proven safety practices to mitigate risk and effectivelymanage claims.

  • Partner with Operations leadership to run required safety programs andtraining.

  • Serve as group’s Safety & Risk Management Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in HR Generalist roles including pastleadership/supervisory assignment(s).

  • Approximately 20% travel.

  • B.S. in Business, Human Resources or a related field. An advanceddegree is desired.

  • Demonstrated ability and experience working in a dynamic, deadlineoriented environment is required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skillsare required.

  • Experience in audit, acquisition or integration HR processes desired.

  • Extensive employee relations experience is required.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, engineering or Lean manufacturingenvironment is desired.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
