Position Summary
CVI Laser Optics is looking for a Shared Resource Manager that includes oversight of Facility, Warehouse, Buying and Continuous Improvement. This person has a passion for building teams, working cross functionally, and supporting the production arm of manufacturing. They will help create site-strategy, identify opportunities for improvement and enable delivery to customer needs. This section of the business is critical for future growth, removing barriers and allowing production to focus on building product for the customer.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for driving facility maintenance and improvement
Responsible for leading teams that own front end material procurement from vendors and backend product shipment to customers
Responsible for providing direction to site CI leader
Drives efficiency improvements, owning productivity and inventory metrics for site
Effectively implements actions to support growth within the business
Effectively builds, leads, and challenges a cross functional team including: production, supply chain, and engineering
Builds strong culture of safety, accountability, employee engagement, and servant leadership
Responsible for defining organizational needs and roles within team
Serves as segment spokesperson to key stakeholders
Works collaboratively with production and engineer to identify opportunities to extend support capabilities
Commitment to talent development. Defines succession plans and cultivates emerging leaders
Defines investment plans to expand capacity and extend capabilities to maintain leading market position. Champions investments needed to achieve objectives.

Warehouse and transportation management / logistics
Strategic sourcing and supplier relationship development

Credentials and Experience
B.S. or higher in technical or business-related field or the equivalence in work experience.
Five or more years of experience in manufacturing
Cross functional roles and experience preferred
Experience leading cross functional teams preferred
