Director of Sales provides organizational leadership and directs IDEX Optical Technologies' sales policies, objectives, and initiatives to execute the AOP revenue plan for North America across all IDEX OT’s manufacturing capabilities. The Director of Sales will lead the North American sales team and work cross-functionally with the global sales organization, product management, engineering, marketing communications, and general managers to drive alignment and accountability across assigned markets and achieve break-through growth.

Help prepare monthly forecast and QBR (Quarterly Business Review) for functional areas of the business and related subsidiaries.

Achieve annual revenue growth targets for both team and assigned individual territory.

Manage a team of sales professionals and applications engineers to ensure customer ownership by the sales team that is aligned with the platform's operational and strategic goals.

Develop and execute a robust sales funnel process to proactively analyze customer opportunities for actionable insights to be shared with the management team.

Support development, deployment, and adoption of a CRM system that supports the platforms; GTM strategy.

Develop and manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences to align management around sales opportunities and sales team performance.

Develop and execute a sales training and reporting structure to enable high performance across the team.

Create a central source of insights that other platform teams can draw from in order to make strategic, data-driven product, and market decisions.

Manage the sales target account list and segmentation criteria, supporting win/loss analysis.

Support and execute the annual strategic pricing process using best practices in price optimization.

Set quotas and pipeline targets supporting the annual operating plan's compensation process.

A successful candidate will have the ability to productively and efficiently work with both internal teams (engineering, product management, finance, customer service, and operations) and various domestic customers, all the while navigating diverse business, cultural, and structural differences.

Operations (Complex): A successful candidate must have the ability to develop and deploy best-in-class processes to enable a successful and sustainable sales function. The candidate will manage and provide direction to the customer and internal teams from a value selling perspective in order to meet all assigned department and company-related goals. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, MBA or master’s degree desired (optical engineering preferred).

5+ years of experience in outside OEM sales (optics and photonics highly desirable).

3+ years managing a team of sales professionals.
