Summary: Trebor International manufactures high purity pumps and heaters for fluid handling systems primarily used in the semiconductor market. This is a key role reporting directly to the General Manager. The successful candidate will be a hands-on manager responsible for all aspects of new product development including talent management, budgets, patents, product testing and validation (other areas as assigned).
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
Active member of leadership team, assisting with strategy development and execution.
Direct leadership of R&D engineering, manage budgets, priorities, and ensure NPD results.
Manage department talent and team member development.
Manage all aspects of product development including Voice Of Customer, proof of concept, and design validation (tollgates).
Perform various Mechanical Engineering design calculations fluid handling (pumps) and heating systems.
Planning, scheduling and reporting of project activities; conduct project specification and design review meetings; assure that all assigned projects remain on schedule.
Specify test requirements to the engineering lab and/or production for design verification and performance tests, including third party testing as required.
Assist in the compilation of technical information needed for the sale and marketing of new products; this will include technical literature, performance curves, charts, engineering data and service manuals.
Work with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality to spec new parts, approve suppliers, and process first article inspections to meet product specifications.
Ability to hold others accountable to timelines and budgets, while managing project creep effectively.
Work with local and corporate patent attorneys to ensure product designs have defendable differentiators.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proficient in Solidworks, and analysis software
Minimum five years of related engineering experience
Previous people management experience demonstrating effective leadership abilities
Experience designing pumps or fluid handling equipment is a plus
Experience in semiconductor industry is a plus
Experience in supplying equipment to an OEM tool manufacturer is a plus
Experience with customer interviews to gain Voice of Customer data highly desired
Specific skills, knowledge, and/or licenses:
Comprehensive drafting knowledge, including 3D model creation, 2D drawing creation, dimensioning and tolerancing
Knowledge of fluid dynamics and mechanical design
Knowledge of PTFE, PFA, and other high purity materials
Knowledge of various manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, casting, injection molding
Knowledge of various agency requirements, such as CE, ATEX, CSA and UL
Must have authorization to work in the United States, and be able to have lawful access to controlled technology as required for this position.
