Description:

with our OEM customers to optimize performance, time to market, and cost of

goods. We focus on the life sciences and in vitro diagnostic market to

design and build fluidics, optics, and microfluidic subsystems that are

found in industry leading genomics, proteomics, and cellomics tools. We are

seeking a Product Solutions Manager with experience in commercializing

illumination and imaging technologies to support our growing product lines.

The Product Solutions Manager will lead the effort to define, design and

commercialize illumination and imaging products. Identify customer needs

and market trends. Develop competitive analysis and pricing strategies.

Moreover, the Product Solution Manager will work together with our sales

team to nurture and establish relationships to drive awareness and

ultimately put IDEX Health & Science in a position to contribute to our

customers’ next instrument development projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Champion: Engage with customers and RD&E teams on high profile OEM projects.

Successful vetting of opportunities, negotiation of terms, and the winning

& completion of impactful custom subsystem projects through our product

development process.

Market Research: Perform qualitative and quantitative market research to define

segmentation, needs, and competitive landscape.

Product Development: Ability to define product concept, create product positioning and value

propositions, write product requirements, propose and execute pricing

strategies, and generate financial models.

Commercial Support: Develop training, tools, and targeting strategies to increase sales force

enablement.

Product Lifecycle Management: Continually identify the 20% complexity in our business that drives the 80%

of our waste. Develop plans to simplify the business so that we continue to

strengthen our core, accelerate growth, and scale the business. Create

customer communication strategies and champion the resolution of key

customer issues.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) in aTechnical discipline (Physical Science or Engineering) and/or aBusiness discipline (Administration or Marketing) with at least 2-5years of experience in a high technology Product Managementenvironment.

  • Experience in a product environment targeted as components and/orsub-systems for sales into OEM Instrument manufacturers, or forcomplete OEM Instrument products for sales to end-users of suchequipment highly desirable.

  • Familiar with a variety of marketing concepts, practices andprocedures.

  • Excellent communication, public speaking and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (written andverbal) with customers and work within a team environment.

  • Must be able to travel approximately 30% of the time. Must becomfortable traveling in geographic locations where customs andcultures are unfamiliar.
