SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITES
The primary role of the Director of Business Development is to identify new business opportunities at the customer level to increase and maintain an ideal funnel of global sales opportunities. In close collaboration with the entire sales force (including Regional Sales Management and Application Engineering) and the Product Line Management teams, the Director of Business Development plays a key role in the Business Unit growth by planning and implementing market development through targeted prospection of business opportunities with the highest win rate.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate and qualify leads for the sales force, internal sales and channel partners on a global basis
Increase the number of registrations on Approved Vendors Lists
Position Pulsafeeder EPO at the earliest phases of projects with system integrators and EPCs
Work with Pulsafeeder sales team to bring qualified opportunities to PO award
Track and report on new markets and emerging chemical process industry trends (oil & gas, water treatment, power generation)
Develop and implement strategic planning, including strategic plan preparation and implementation for sales growth
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BS/BA in Strategic Marketing or Engineering with a strong Finance/Economics acumen, MBA preferred.
A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience with a manufacturing company, with pump product knowledge and commercial sales/marketing experience.
Experience in a process focused organization (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Value Streams).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
