Summary/Objective

The Aftermarket Business Line Leader will provide leadership, strategy and direction to achieve growth in the Aftermarket business segment achieving improved levels of customer satisfaction and profitable growth. Coordinate alignment of activities to support the directed sales strategy and targeted achievements. Responsible for managing and addressing operational requirements and/or challenges presented by Oklahoma City fulfillment and establish a coherent strategic sales plan which maximizes existing and new Aftermarket opportunities. The successful holder of this position will be able to grow and maintain a cohesive and high performing team, identify, sponsor, and coach talent and renew organization effectiveness through resource management and redeployment.

Essential Functions

Lead the profit and loss of the Aftermarket segment while understanding the market, the needs of customers and the competitive pressures

Define growth strategy for Aftermarket leveraging our global channel partner footprint, capabilities and cross regional sales support

Accountable for the delivery of revenue targets

Execute short and long term action plan to drive profitable growth against defined strategy

Increase global relationships with accounts, at all management levels, to leverage strength and counter any perceived weaknesses

Assess the business’s current channels to market and create an overall channel strategy that gives the business the best opportunity to win in each market in which it participates

Review profitability of all product lines and regions and take appropriate steps to improve profitability where necessary

Motivate and lead a high performance Aftermarket Operations team through Daily Management in order to continuously improve the Aftermarket SQDC annual targets

Proactively drive process improvements through the use of Lean Tools

Attract, develop and retain talented and skilled individuals who bring key capabilities to the team and to the company

Create focus; identify and develop plans to attack the “Critical Few” priorities for the aftermarket business

Establish close relationships at senior levels with current and potential customers; be able to gain direct access to the customers’ senior executive team

Provides leadership and support to the organization and to the senior staff on strategic, cross-functional, and change initiatives

Provides annual and rolling 12 month forecasts by units and dollars, by regions and distribution partners with input from all Regional Sales Managers

Quarterly forecasts as needed by product

Provides details to operations to build a demand forecast

Works closely with Product Manager in identifying market opportunities and tactical execution plans that support the strategy developed

Sets and monitors pricing policies that maximize stakeholder returns while increasing market share in conjunction with Product Manager, Finance Manager and Vice President, General Manager

Serve as team member and resource for other departments

Actively participate in problem prevention and problem solving as part of Corken’s ongoing program of continuous improvement

Perform other duties as required

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company

Plan daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety to self and co-workers

Report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources and immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor in Business with Marketing concentration, Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent experience

Two (2) five (5) years parts/aftermarket experience (compressors/pumps a plus)Additional

Ability to “telescope” move seamlessly from the strategic to the tactical/hands-on when needed, without getting overly bogged down in details or micro-managing and/or stifling the team

Have a successful track record as a functional leader of an Aftermarket business serving customers around the world

Have a well-rounded business understanding, ideally having worked successfully in more than one function

Be known for customer intimacy and have personal interaction with customers around the world

Have provided documented business and organizational change leadership and ideally, have been successful doing so in more than one company

Have an in-depth understanding of the financial metrics that drive a business and the means of influencing those metrics

Have proven skills in mentoring a team and emphasizing people development throughout an organization

Have shown willingness to make difficult changes within a team when necessary

Using the tools and methodologies of the 8020 business process in leading the market segment

Preferred Education and Experience

Master in Business Administration

Proven technical background, prefer industry-related

Previous experience in product management, design, marketing, sales or service of a product

Supervisory Responsibility

Provides key leadership and management role for teamWork Environment

Exposure to manufacturing environment. Noise level may vary from moderate office environment to noisy/loud in the plant area. Proper use of safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apron and face shield must be observed.

Travel

Willingness to travel, occasionally for extended period of time both domestically and internationally
