An Assembler is a multi-skilled employee that will work in different departments according to production demand that is expected to perform a wide variety of activities associated with product assembly and finishing in sub-assembly, final assembly, and testing processes.

Essential Functions

Trained in and assembles equipment components, sub-assemblies and accessories, as required

for the assigned stage of production

Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specification, bills of material and other written instruction or procedures to accurately assembly equipment and products

Perform quality work checks to insure the products meet quality standards

Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified

Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes

Safely use various hand, air and power tools

Inspect, test, and verify accuracy of assembled article for conformance to standards, using measuring or testing equipment, or by visual examination.

Serve as team member and resource for other departments

Actively participate in problem prevention and problem solving as part of Corken’s ongoing program of continuous improvement

Perform other duties as required

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company

Plan daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety to self and co-workers

Report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources and immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability

Preferred Education and Experience

Three (3) plus years of manufacturing assembly experience

Work Environment

Exposure to

manufacturing environment. Noise level may vary from moderate office environment to noisy/loud in the plant area. Proper use of safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apron and face shield must be observed.


Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required

One (1) three (3) years of experience in general assembly work

Ability to read blueprints

Experience with power and hand tools

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Demonstrate good organizational skills and follow-up techniques

Must be able to multitask

Ability to work in a fast pace environment

Must be detail oriented and goal driven

Basic math requirements, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Basic computer skills

Demonstrate responsibility, respect, dependability,patience, and productivity in order to create a positive work environment

Preferred Education and Experience Three

(3) plus years of manufacturing assembly experience
