Summary: Responsible for developing and implementing process improvements, shop methods, fixtures, procedures and troubleshooting issues involving plant equipment, machinery and tooling.

Job Requirements:

  • Develop and implement process improvements to optimize productivity, reduce costs and cycle time

  • Improving existing operations, incorporating new methods and processes

  • Troubleshoot shop issues involving equipment, machinery and tooling and lead solution implementation

  • Implement root cause analysis as needed

  • Provide technical support for machinery and equipment to operators

  • Specify and procure new fixtures, equipment and tooling needed to meet production and quality requirements

  • Coordinate safety and ergonomic issues for VS’s

  • Support and/or lead VS / Cell Implementation for continuous improvement and positive change

  • Manage multiple projects by providing scheduling, resource management, budget control and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance

  • Work with Design Engineering, Procurement, and Quality Assurance departments to resolve production issues and/or implement improvements

  • Support New Product Development (NPD) process in manufacturability and coordination with ITS and India

  • Assist in departmental/plant training on lean fundamentals


Job Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • BS degree in Engineering and three years (minimum) related experience

  • Two years related experience in manufacturing and engineering processes and industrial environments

Specific skills, knowledge, and/or licenses:

  • Knowledge of ERP System (preferred JDE), Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software

  • Training in Six Sigma and/or other continuous process improvement initiatives

  • Knowledge of CAD software

  • Experience with budgetary process and cost reduction
