In this newly created role, the Communications Leader will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the IDEX’s corporate communications strategies, both internal and external. You will oversee the development and implementation of support materials and services in the area of digital and print marketing and internal communications. You will initially have one direct report to manage and assist with the development of the department.

  • Create and oversee strategic communication plans that align with the Company’s long and short-term strategic business priorities.

  • Direct executive communications to properly position members of leadership, align messaging, and coordinate communications and internal touch points.

  • Provide thought leadership, counsel and training to Executive team and other key leaders within the Company on communication strategies, key message platforms and critical business issues.

  • Oversee internal communications in all channels, including newsletter, social media, email, intranet, etc.

  • Develop and implement a strategic communications roadmap, inclusive of external and internal communications

  • Bring fresh ideas and creative communications to support the strategy and desired brand image and perceptions to employees

  • Drive internal communication programs to support culture, and company updates including enterprise-wide initiatives, change efforts and business unit communications

  • Create and manage Communications Calendar; developing and communicating scheduling and stakeholder updates

  • Manage negotiation and vendor coordination with 3rd party vendors

  • Ensure adherence to company branding guidelines and pull relevant positioning and messaging through all communication channels/assets/activities

  • Engage as requested in projects relating to search engine optimization, website updates, and email automation.

  • 7+ years of corporate communications experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, English, marketing, journalism or public relations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong editing and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.

  • Experience overseeing communications from strategy creation to executive buy-in to execution, deliveryand reporting

  • Ability to adapt plans and priorities to address any organizational changes

  • Executive presence, with proven ability to advise and engage leadership-level stakeholders, with appropriate level of confidentiality when required

  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong executive presence and ability to handle a variety of competing priorities. The ability to act as a trusted advisor, manage relationships and resolve conflict.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Effectively communicate and collaborate across many global stakeholders and senior business leaders, including the CHRO and HR staff members.

  • Eye for detail, focus on quality, and a customer service orientation. Strong organizational and project management skills, able to make fast and proper judgment calls.

  • Demonstrate a strong learning agility and ability to flex easily with competing and often changing priorities.

  • Teamwork: partner with others and build relationships. Participate as an active member of a high performing team that has fun.
