Overall Purpose

As a member of the internal sales support team, the Internal Account Manager will be responsible for working with the necessary individuals and teams to achieve and exceed the company’s sales targets. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relations by managing existing accounts and collaborating on new opportunities to ensure growth within existing channels. They will be expected to identify best practices across the different business lines and route to markets and ensure that relevant information is shared both internally and externally.

They will be responsible for recognizing quality leads and developing, managing, and growing customer accounts within their designated area of responsibility and the company.

They will also develop a good knowledge of the core products of PPE and products available through the IDEX Sealing Solutions platform. The Internal Account Manager will also have the ability to manage every day inquiries through to managing longer term projects effectively.

Essential duties/outcomes:

  • Support the external team in their activities of selling IDEX Sealing Solutions products

  • Support the external teams target to over-achieve PPE revenues vs. AOP

  • To develop and improve on a general understanding of PPE core products and products available across the platform

  • To develop relationships with key accounts within your assigned segment and become the responsible internal contact for these accounts

  • Ensure that customer specific requirements are correctly communicated and that any pricing agreements are relevant and up to date

  • To improve and develop sales techniques through training, experiences and self-development to maximize the conversion rate of enquiries/projects

  • To utilize the company’s ERP and CRM systems to manage all enquiries/projects and customer information and ensure the data is up to date

  • To strive to deliver instant service and show commercial competence plus familiarity with customer and supplier arrangements Work with the internal and external teams to ensure the correct level of support

  • To review the performance of your designated sector weekly with your external sales team member and highlight any areas that need addressing and set actions in line with this

  • Aim to exceed KPI targets and individual customer targets

  • Work with the external team to ensure that countermeasures are put in place to address any shortfalls behind targets

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • 2 years’ experience in an account management/customer service role

  • Proven ability to work to KPIs/targets and report back on performance

  • Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing sales environment

  • An understanding of engineering drawings

  • Experience working with ERP and CRM systems
