The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing all details of a
project order (component or systems) from order entry through, project
submission, documentation, construction, shipment, forecasting, inventory
management and, in some rare cases, integration and start-up. The primary
responsibilities of this position include: protecting and/or maximizing
margins throughout the life of the project through pricing and operational
expense management, improving project life-cycle processes to minimize time
between order acquisition and shipment through inventory management, and
ensuring the quality of the execution of the order to remittance process.
Primary responsibility and accountability for managing an orderthrough project life-cycle.
PM will complete thorough content review of all project proposals(CIP’s) upon receipt of purchase order to ensure accuracy in termsof contract compliance and customer satisfaction.
PM has responsibility and accountability for managing orderfulfillment, from ownership of the submittal process throughrelease to manufacturing and shipment.
Primary source of contact for both internal customers (order entry,purchasing, manufacturing, etc.) and external customers(distributors, representatives, engineering firms, contractors andend users) regarding assigned projects. To include providingforecasting and determining an inventory strategy for raw andfinished goods.
PM will track defects and monitor cycle times within the projectcompletion cycle.
Interpret and understand contracts and customer compliancerequirements.
Understand customer requirements and correspond directly withinternal sales management, environmental market managers, outsidesales management, specifying engineers and customers.
PM will function as a liaison after order initiation.
PM will assist in preparation of published technical documents suchas project submittals and other documentation.
Demonstrates experience and knowledge in the manufacturing and/orindustrial industry.

Candidate must have the ability to work varying shifts, includingweekends
This position requires minimal overnight travel (US)

Ability to stand for extended periods of time EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
BS degree in management or administration /or 5+ years ofequivalent experience
Direct experience managing projects. Preferred experience managingnew product introductions.
